Jaw Tracker – Bio JT-3D™
Tracking 3D Movement and Jaw Position
The JT-3D™ (Jaw Tracker) was researched & developed to provide incredibly accurate measurements in mandibular kinesiology (jaw movement).
The JT-3D™ allows the clinician to understand where the jaw is in real-time during specific functions. The test gathers objective data during chewing, speaking, range of motion, and swallowing and analyzes the pattern and speed in which the jaw moves, giving insight into diagnosis and treatment planning.
Jaw tracking is widely accepted that certain aspects of mandibular movement are indicative of very specific types of TM Dysfunction. Limitation in opening, deviation in jaw movement, oral opening deflections and restrictions in lateral or protrusive movements are routinely used in diagnosing stomatognathic conditions/diseases. JT-3D™ tracks these movements.
The Jaw Tracker-3D is a non-invasive, non-painful test that records incisor-point movements in three dimensions. A small magnet, attached to the labial surfaces of the mandibular incisors, is tracked to produce vertical, anteroposterior, and lateral movement data. Jaw tracking can assist in designing optimal chewing patterns as well as detecting abnormal functions which can aid in more accurate diagnosis. It also assists in recording accurate, reproducible “bite registrations.”
The all-new JT-3D records incisor-point movements in three dimensions. it mounts simply, yet securely on the head, providing a stable base for the sensors. This allows for the record and digesting of even the smallest of mandibular movements in high resolution.
